How time flies.....I can't believe it's September tomorrow! (yikes!)

I also can't believe it's been nearly 2 and a half weeks since I posted anything! To be honest its been a mixture of being genuinely busy with other things....and a little bit of laziness also lol!

During that time I have managed to take quite a few outfit shoots, so expect to see them in the coming weeks :-)

I bought this kimono maybe around 3 years ago? and have only worn it a handful of times-although I really do love it! The colours are so amazing and vibrant! and I don't have anything quite like it in my wardrobe. The colours pop so much, even on dark days here in London. I loved combining it with the bag and the snakeskin shoes-all the blues compliment each other so well!

I have definitely reignited my love for this colour.....so now I am on the hunt for more pieces to add to my closet, especially cobalt shades as I think it will work really well in the coming colder months. Although blue is essentially a cool colour-I find cobalt to be quite a warm shade.

Speaking of which-I am currently eyeing up a gorgeous Celine Trapeze in cobalt blue and canary yellow! I found it on designerexchange.com which is a luxury handbag reseller. I might have to relax my handbag ban for that one as the price makes it even more tempting ;-)

P.S. Is anyone planning to go to London Fashion Week/Weekend?? I am very tempted to go to Paris or Milan! X

Wear the Sunshine!

Skirt £3 Primark | Top £4 Primark | Shoes £14.40 Dorothy Perkins | Jacket £17.50 Topshop found on eBay | Bag Louis Vuitton (being discontinued!) | Cuff £5 Rare London

Remember the post Birthday Cake!!, where I said I had a very unusual dressing cubicle? this was the outfit I changed out of. In recent years I have started to really enjoy wearing bright yellow pieces. And when I saw this yellow maxi, I knew I couldn't leave the shop without it!

I didn't even try it on, just picked it up and went straight to the cashpoint! I just knew it was going to be one of those perfect summer pieces.
The sunshine yellow puts a big smile on my face. And the colour combination of bright yellow, with a bit of blue, green and cream mixed in is very striking, especially with the floral print being so large and randomly placed.

I decided to not play it safe with the shoes, and go for an equally bright yellow shoe! I didn't want the colour to but cut off at my ankles so I chose to follow it all the way through as the jacket is so dark. I can also see this skirt nicely paired with a more turquoise top and tan gladiators.

In a country where we barely seem to get summer, sometimes it's nice to make do with "wearing" a bit of sun!

I can see that as I write this, the weather reports are predicting more showers today :-(

Maybe I should dig out my yellow blazer! :-D

Scoop International SS16
Location-Saatchi Gallery King's Road

As I am so out of the loop when it comes to the fashion world (shame face)  I decided to go online and search for fashion events happening here in the Capital. That's when I discovered Scoop International.

Scoop is a premium women’s apparel and accessories tradeshow held at the iconic Saatchi Gallery, London.
Launched in February 2011, by fashion industry expert Karen Radley, Scoop has fast become a key destination for showcasing international contemporary collections including De’Hart, Pyrus, Paul and Joe Sister, Goat, Agnelle, Duffy, Mercantia, Vivienne Westwood and many more.

I went to the event on the 4th of August, which was the last day. As I was running very late, I only made it for the last hour!

I had a lot of ground to cover, as the event was held over 3 floors at the Saatchi Gallery. I saw quite a few things I wanted to purchase! including this great top from Wheels and Doll baby..

and these awesome hats-which will be great for the colder months.....Winter is coming! :-(

One new brand I discovered was an Australian brand called Elliatt, which has a lot of nice fur pieces and cute and feminine dresses including this one which I love!

Luckily for me and you guys! new for 2015, Launching this September is Scoop London. Featuring international designers and collections from premium and emerging International talent, Scoop London will run at the Saatchi Gallery during London Fashion Week from 20-22 September 2015.

I managed to see quite a lot though, and I can't wait to go back and spend a longer time discovering more of what the brands have to offer for SS16!

To be honest, it worth worth going just for the pretty pink carpet! :-D
